3 Day Refresher Bodyguard Training
Introduction to 3 Day Refresher Training
Bodyguards that have already completed a course less than 3 years ago by a reputable course provider are eligible to conduct a 3 day refresher, to cover the subjects that would have not been taught under the new National Occupational Standards set by the Security Industry Authority. These subjects are:
- Threat and Risk Assessment.
- Conflict Management.
- Incidents and Dilemmas.
- Law and Legislation.
The examination is both theoretical and practical and will enable you to gain the SIA License and the certificate of Protective Security by Buckinghamshire Chiltern University College. CTR Services has created this course aimed at converting your existing experience base over to the SIA specifications.
Guidelines to take the Refresher Course
Before you attend a refresher course you will need to provide photocopies of the following documentation:
- Current Close Protection Certificate - (Less than 3 years old)
- Current 4 Day First Aid at Work or First Person on Scene (FPOS) Intermediate Award - 30 hrs.
- Current CV
- Copy of Passport / Driving licence

- Any other documentation relevant to Close Protection (ie: Letters of recommendation, Portfolio of work/life experiences and any other supporting letters or evidence.)
Once you arrive on the course the original documents and certificates will need to be viewed to confirm authenticity
