So what will you learn on the 22 day Hostile Environments Bodyguard training course? To make the learning progressive, we have split the course into core competencies into manageable segments which blend into the hostile environments package to ensure the training pace stays the same.
This module allows students to understand the threat countries, the history and background. It enables students to identify the threats within countries and the reason for private security intervention. By the end of this module the student will be able to:
1.1 Evaluate the threats in that chosen country
1.2 Summarize the measures already taken to minimize those threats.
This module allows students to understand the how to operate within a secure environment in a hostile environments, this forms the basis of the course which develops the knowledge base from a Forward Operating Base (FOB) to actually carrying out taskings. By the end of this module the student will be able to:
1.1 Explain two types of Forward Operating Base (FOB) within a hostile country
1.2 Summarize security and procedures for a Forward Operating Base (FOB)
1.3 Explain communications systems used in hostile environments
1.4 Explain ECM systems used in hostile environments
1.5 Explain Person Location Device (PLD) Systems
1.6 Clarify the two types of operations rooms
1.7 Summarize the policies and procedures for the two types of operations rooms
1.8 Clarify the principles of personal security
1.9 Analyze and explain the Quick Reaction Force (QRF) assets within a hostile country
This module allows students to understand the fundamentals and planning of routes to and from BG tasking, Familiarization and security surveys within hostile environments. By the end of the course the student will be able to:
1.1 Explain the duties of a Security Advance Party (SAP) in a hostile environment
1.2 Explain the difference between overt and covert Security Advance Party (SAP) duties.
1.3 Summarize the types of journey and the limitations in a hostile environment
1.4 Explain the process of route selection
This module allows students to understand the fundamentals and considerations for transport preparation and vehicle usages. You will also understand hostile convoy procedures and actions on in the event of a situation. By the end of the course the student will be able to:
1.1 Summarize overt and covert vehicles used in hostile environments
1.2 Explain the types of armor used for vehicle protection
1.3 Clarify the kit to be carried within a vehicle
1.4 Summarize the different types of dress and equipment
1.5 Explain convoy procedures
1.6 Perform convoy procedures on a route
This module allows students to understand and practice armed formations and tactics as well as develop the body protection drills within hostile environments. The Immediate Action will be practiced on foot and vehicles with force on force drills. By the end of the course the student will be able to:
1.1 Explain the principles of body protection
1.2 Perform armed formations
1.3 Perform armed enbus and debus procedures
1.4 Perform Immediate Action (IA) drills within a hostile environment
This module allows students to understand the basics of surveillance in order to conduct and carry out effective counter and anti surveillance drills within a hostile environment. By the end of the course the student will be able to:
1.1 Explain the surveillance process
1.2 Perform an anti surveillance serial
1.3 Perform a counter surveillance serial
This module forms the final exercise where the students will go through a series of scenarios that have happened in the past so that they will develop a mental blueprint of successful scenario replication. The scenarios are within a made up village area of Norfolk with role players so the sense of realism is present. By the end of the course the student will be able to:
